Achievement Testing

Students in grades 3, 4, 5 & 6 will soon be taking the Ohio Achievement Tests.  The schedule is as follows:

 

            Grade 3         April 30 and May 7

            Grade 4         April 29 and May 1

            Grade 5         April 29, May 1 and 6

            Grade 6         May 6 and 8

 

Testing will take place each morning.  If possible, please do not schedule appointments during the testing times.

 

Pop Tab Contest

This year the K-6 students brought in 335 lbs. 1 oz. of pop tabs.  Great Job!! 

 

1st place:  KA - 70.4 oz/student

2nd place: 1A - 35.2 oz/student

3rd place:  4 - 34.7 oz/student

Operation Band-Aid

Our first graders will be traveling to the Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center on May 20 to learn more about what goes on in an emergency room.  Students will have a chance to tour the facility and take part in mock emergency situations.

 

Safety City

The Putnam County Educational Service Center is once again sponsoring a hands-on safety program for our kindergarten students.  On May 6, a number of kindergarten students from across the county will be participating in a variety of safety activities such as:  bike safety, water safety, railroad safety, and pedestrian safety, just to name a few.

 

School Speech Contest

On Tuesday, April 8 the following students competed in the local School Speech Contest:  Erica Crawford, Raylee Clay, Brad Eickholt, Jack Nichols, Sydnie Siebeneck, Mackenna Stechschulte, Chloe Fields, Reilly Fitzpatrick, Brooke Hellman, Evan Hoersten, Savanna Siebeneck and Eric Wieging.

Eric Wieging – 1st place

Chloe Fields – 2nd place

Mackenna Stechschulte – 3rd place
